Nazerah Carlisle (she/her) is a Tkaronto-based stage manager and graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Production program. This is Nazerah’s second year with Dusk Dances and is very excited to be back in the park! She has had the privilege of working for companies such as Tarragon Theatre, Toronto Dance Theatre, Opera Atelier, Shakespeare in the Ruff, Toes for Dance and is the resident stage manager for St. Andrews College.
Dimitra Chronopoulos
Volunteer Coordinator, Withrow Park
Dimitra Chronopoulos enjoys working with others to create value and beauty, in objects and experiences. As a freelance editor, she works with non-profit organizations, foundations, and publishers on everything from annual reports to online courses. As a volunteer teacher and program director at her church, she attempts to inform and inspire through actions as much as words. Her own commitment to volunteering includes stints as a narrator and technician in the recording studio of the CNIB and as program chair of the Toronto branch of Editors Canada.
Melanie Hall
Stage Manager, Withrow Park
Melanie is a Toronto-based stage manager and works regularly in both English and French. She graduated with honours from the Ryerson Theatre School’s Performance Production program and completed a stage management short course at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Most recently, Hall completed her tenth season at Théâtre français de Toronto where she is a production manager and stage manager. In addition to her experience in theatre, dance, and opera, Hall was on the stage management teams for the ceremonies at the 2017 Invictus Games and the 2015 PanAm and ParapanAm Games.
Emerson Kafarowski
Lighting Designer, Withrow Park
Emerson Kafarowski (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist and emerging Lighting Designer based in Tkaronto, Canada. A graduate of the Toronto Metropolitan University Performance Production + Design program, they’ve worked on performances and workshops in a variety of genres, including dance, theatre, opera, and live music. Dedicated to life-long learning, Emerson gravitates towards projects that explore the richness and complexity of diverse human experiences, in which important (yet often silenced) voices of the past and present are uplifted. She has the pleasure of working with many inspiring artists and companies, including Amplified Opera, BoucharDanse, Citadel + Compagnie, Fall For Dance North Festival, The Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto, Sashar Zarif Dance Theatre, The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, Soulpepper Theatre Company, and Venusfest. Other projects include EMRSN x EOS, an open-source project designed to bring unique financially accessible and portable lighting control devices to emerging artists, companies, and site-specific performances.
Remington North
Technical Director, touring & Withrow Park
Remington North is a career Technical Director and Production Manager based out of Toronto, Canada. He derives his professional mandate from the word facilitate via the Latin facile (easily). Making art is hard and Remington endeavours to make it easier for those working through their craft. Having opened two of Toronto’s prominent mid-sized venues, The Theatre Centre and Crow's Theatre, Remington strives to represent not just the technical labourers that make this art possible but the houses they take place in. Remington has worked with J Mar Electric, Necessary Angel, Crow's Theatre, The Theatre Centre, Volcano Theatre, YES! Theatre, Why Not Theatre, Against the Grain, and many other companies in the GTA. He's pleased to be here with Dusk Dances and looking forward to the future offerings of Live Performance in Canada.
Chin Palipane
Technician, Withrow Park
Chin Palipane (he/him) is a Toronto-based Theatre Artist, Technician, and Lighting Designer. He is a proud member of Coyote Collective and the current TD of The Assembly Theatre. When not working a plethora of gigs or designing shows, he can be found reading or consuming far too much Netflix with Durzo. He absolutely adores breakfast at non-breakfast times and a good cup of coffee/tea. He is thrilled to be working with Dusk Dances again!
Zuri Skeete
Volunteer Coordinator, Touring & Withrow Park
Zuri Skeete is an emerging multidisciplinary dance artist who recently graduated from York University’s Dance program. Zuri is a performer, choreographer, and teacher with a heavy focus on improvisation and contemporary dance. She has had the opportunity of working with artists such as David Norsworthy, Syreeta Hector, Tracey Norman, and Susan Lee. Most recently, Zuri choreographed and performed a commissioned piece for Toes for Dance’s Common Ground Festival and just premiered a new dance film for Bloom 2022. She is also the co-founder and artistic director of The Meaningful Movement which aims to create spaces, events and conversations for all artists and art lovers. Zuri is constantly striving to explore her identity and movement aesthetic, persistently questioning if she can go deeper in everything she works on. She is excited to be working alongside the Dusk Dances team this season.
